Black Oak Arkansas Discography

Page History

This page is – and will always be – under construction... HAHA! I am an ordinary Finnish guy, who by accident went mad on BOA in the mid '70s, after hearing them playing on the radio only once. There are some good things in life, and BOA is definitely one of them.

The story so far

03.02.01 Added Rickie Lee's note about the Rebound CD.

31.01.01 Added a couple of sleeve notes.

28.01.01 Back to basics with the layout. The Java script did not work for every visitor so it was time to simplify it.

10.01.01 Added a cover pic of the new remastered Rebound CD (thanks Les!). Added liner notes of Early Times album.

03.12.00 Updated links to Rob's new BOA page address.

15.10.00 Added cover pics of two late compilations.

12.09.00 Unified some parts of the layout with Rob's BOA page.

04.09.00 Saddled my horse again. Got some rare singles pics from Paolo Chiorino to add. Also renewed the page layout. I hope you like it. If not, just do it better yourself. There is always room for another BOA page. Raunch 'n' Roll!

28.08.99 Updated links at last. Okay, it is time to admit that I have turned old, fat and tired. In other words: I feel myself a middle-aged man. Have mercy on me! Therefore, I also feel that the time has come to return this discography back home. As you have already noticed, Ms. Linda Emrich is doing an excellent job with the Official Black Oak Arkansas Web Site, offering us Oakheads the best possible place to meet in cyberspace. From now on she will renew and maintain also the discography. And what about me? Well, I'll be hanging around the bbs and chat – as from the very beginning – together with a certain veteran friend of mine (clue: see my first note). See y'all there!

27.07.98 Added a few compilations with BOA tracks to the Various Artists section.

29.03.98 Added some promo singles and King Biscuit Flower Hour CD onto discography's mainpage.

23.01.98 Added some serial numbers to singles, and readjusted the discography list a bit.

21.01.98 Uploaded the rest of Balls Of Fire -lyrics. Also some additions onto "people talk".

10.01.98 Started to work up the discography: modified the frontpage a bit, wrote the "about"-page and uploaded the new Balls of Fire -page as an example of new ideas.

How it all began
I found
Rob MacIsaac's BOA-page on the net in the summer of '96 when it was just started and heavily under construction. So I sent him an e-mail 29.8.96, in which I asked if I could help him somehow. Rob answered YES and I started to scan in and edit the BOA-album covers, a couple of other pictures and the power acorn logo. Gradually I started to feel we were on a mission or something – like Jake and Elwood, haha – with Rob's webpage project. And then, suddenly, after a long period of hard work, the snowball started to roll... to be continued some day (or maybe not). Cheers, Rob!
