GENERAL:

v Iraqi deserters say around 20,000 were killed by air attacks

v Egyptian sources in Iraq estimate around 15,000 KIA's

v Iraq calls up everyone over 17

AIR WAR:

v 2900 sorties flown

v total sorties breaks 62,000

v Iraq flew one sortie today

v 147 aircraft still in Iran

v 200 of 600 total hardened shelters are destroyed

v UK Lynx helo kills a ZHUK Patrol Boat with a Sea Skula

 

F-117 HIGHLIGHTS (11Feb/Day 26):

v Day 26/Wave Three: 6 x F-117's from the 416th TFS

4 x F-117's from the 415th TFS

- takeoff during the p.m. of Day 23/8th to hit targets on Day 24/9th

- Scored 18 hits with 20 PGM attempts (90%)

- Communications Center at Salmon Pak, Al Jahrah, Aydahah, Al Basrah,

Al Kuwayt, and Shaibah

- Commando Camp Site at Al Jahrah

v Day 27/Wave One: 4 x F-117's from the 416th TFS

6 x F-117's from the 415th TFS

- takeoff before sunset on Day 26/11th to hit targets on Day 27/12th

- Scored 17 direct hits with 20 PGM attempts (85%)

- Airfield Facilities and Ammunition Bunkers at Qayyarah West

- Ammunition Storage Facilities at Kirkuk

v Day 27/Wave Two: 9 x F-117's from the 416th TFS

6 x F-117's from the 415th TFS

- takeoff before sunset on Day 26/11th to hit targets on Day 27/12th

- Scored 23 direct hits with 27 PGM attempts (85%)

- 415th TFS pilots concentrated on hardened aircraft shelters at Qalat Salih

and Kut Al Havy Airfields

- the Iraqi Intelligence Services HQ in Bagdad

- the Ministry of Information in Bagdad

- the Ba'ath Party Headquarters

- 416th TFS focused on hardened aircraft shelters at Kut Al Havy and Ubaydah Bin Al Jarrah Airfields

KILLS:

v 2 x F-15C's were awarded a kill on 1 x Iraqi Helicopters West of Mosul

- (1) Unknown Type Helo downed by F-15C from 36th TFW/525th TFS

... F-15C 79-0048 Kill on an Mi-8 Hip

... Capt Steven B. "Gunga" Dingee

... (1)AIM-7 HIT and 0.5 KILL

... Tail-On Day Shot
