Finnish Air Force Brewster BW-372 Story:

The lost Brewster found in Ireland

BW-372 at Shannon, Ireland

The last sighting of the Brewster was done in mid-November. The national insignia on the aircraft was identified when it arrived at Shannon from Moscow. According to the books the receiver was VAP Group Limited. Aviazaptsasti in Moscow belongs to the same group.

Irishman Michael Ryan had been selling the Brewster late this summer in the US. Ryan called the Finnish Defence Attache Pertti Inkinen in Moscow on the 7th of December trying to sell the aircraft. Ryan mentioned that the papers for the aircraft were OK.

BW-372 has been reported to have reached the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola, FL in September 2004. There is no official information whether to display it as is in its current  relic condition,  fully restore it either to its original Finnish markings, or perhaps display it in Navy F2A-1 configuration.
