The 1999 Specialty was organized in conjunction with the Kartano Weekend show. For the first time in years we had a Specialty where it did not rain at any point during the show, in fact now it was so warm that without the strong wind we would all have passed out from the heat ! There was no shade anywhere and the scorching sun caused the dogs to move lazily and, at times, just stand panting and looking like they were going to suffer a heat stroke at any moment.
