Copyright Information

All articles and pictures on the Skotlanninhirvikoira.net are copyright 1991-2002, all rights reserved. Use and redistribution of all articles and pictures for any purpose whatsoever without a written permission is strictly prohibited.

I read the above statement, now what does it mean in plain English ?

In plain English it means that although it is very easy for you to copy pictures and articles from our pages, you may not use them yourself. For example you are not allowed to use the articles in a magazine. Nor are you allowed to put our pictures onto your World Wide Web pages or onto some FTP server.

If you are confused about copyright issues, please refer to Brad Templeton's excellent Copyright Myths document.

How do I go about getting permission to use your material ?

Please contact Mr. Eero Juhola and tell him which article(s) or picture(s) you would like to use, in what publication or Web page, in what context and for what purpose. Please allow up to two weeks for a decision, as we need to discuss all permissions with the authors and photographers whose work is involved.

If you are granted permission to use our material, you must acknowledge our copyright to it. A simple way to do this would be, for example, to include a sentence such as "picture copyright 1996 by Joe Average". There may be other conditions to a granting you permission to use a our material, as judged case by case.
