The apartment is located in a green and peaceful courtyard at the
heart of the Friedrichshain district next to Frankfurter Tor in
East-Berlin. At the Karl-Marx-Allee you can still catch a glimpse of
the GDR era with the Berlin landmark Fernsehturm (TV-tower) hovering
in the distance. At the nearby Simon-Dach-Straße you’ll find a
number of nice cafés, restaurants, clubs, flea markets and unique
shops.
The apartment has a double bed and comes with sheets and towels. You
will also find a WLAN, a washing machine with dryer, a shower, a
hairdryer, a wardrobe, an iron and a CD-radio-iPod system plus a
television. In the kitchen you will find a microwave oven, a gas
cooker, a fridge, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, a toaster, an
electric kettle and tableware for six. The sofa-bed suits good for
two additional guests.
The public transport connections are excellent: underground line U5
and tramline M10 are around the block. Railway stations (S-Bahn) are
near – two stops by underground (Frankfurter Allee, Ringbahn) or by
tram (Warschauer Strasse). There is also a handy connection to
Ku’damm by line U1. From Tegel Airport the easiest way is to take
the TXL-Bus to Alexanderplatz and then take the subway U5 to
Frankfurter Tor. From Schönefeld Airport take the train S9 (S-Bahn)
to Frankfurter Allee and there the underground U5 to Frankfurter Tor
(to the direction Alexanderplatz). Bicycle is a clever choice to
explore the city and the nearest place to rent a bike is located
next door.
