Garden Railroading

These web pages introduce a garden railroad in Finland, Northern Europe.
Check also the informative Right radius page to see my opinions on the much debated
issue, minimum radius.

track
Garden railroading as a hobby
Running big trains in a garden is an experience. Trains are big, detailed, they
have lights and even sound. You can for example hear the brakes screaming when
an F7 approaches a station, or imagine the trains by night when their headlights
break the darkness.
Everything is weather proof. You can even run them during winter. Also the track
does not bother being left under snow. On the contrary, it gets a nice dark
brown oxidation layer when getting touched by water, just like in a real life. |
